Want to Build Single Vessel Electric BIAB System

I want to build one that is simple. I really like something like the brewboss where I an remove the element. I am thinking just a simple PID controller with a switch for the pump. I am wondering if anyone has a parts list of a cost effective solution one can do themselves. Like where can it get...

    Old Yeast

I got burned out on brewing because of a guy that wanted me to brew for him commercially, and then well he wanted everything on the cheap, and didn't want to do a proper brewery. Anyway I'm getting back to the point where I want to do some batches. I really was able to hone my skills and use...

    Brew Magic and Rims Questions

I did all grain brewing for years using Denny's batch spare method. I am now brewing on a Sabco Brew Magic for the first time and have a few questions. With batch sparge you calculate your water and use 1/2 the boil volume in for dough in and 60 minute rest. Then you add what the grain absorbed...

    Post your Favorite IPA Recipe

I really enjoy drinking IPA's and brew them on a regular bassis. So far I have done your basic kit IPA's, Pale ales, Lagunitas Clone, and all centennial Hopped ipa. Post your favorite for my next brew day that I will not be disappointed in and what about its flavor profile you like.

    Tripple Hopped

I'm sure this has been brought up before but Miller Lite seems to have 2 Marketing strategies they are using to sell their beer. Vortex Bottle and it says Tripple hopped. I think I understand what they mean. I think they now use 3 pellot hops per 100 barrels instead of 2 now. And what does the...

    Blew Lid over 10 Feet

Quality of the yeast must be really good. No starter used. Smacked the Wyeast pack only 1.5-2 hours before I used it. Brewed yesterday. Sometime this evening the lid blew off and was laying 10 feet away. I don't know how long it was open but should be Ok. It is an oberon Clone using...

    Oberon Mini Keg Yeast

Anyone ever harvest yeast from one of these? I made a Oberon Clone last spring that turned out fantastic. My wife loves oberon and brought home a mini keg of it the other day. Got me thinking I should do a starter with the yeast in the bottom and then brew up some more oberon. Any suggestions?

    Help, Can't stop!

Well I built myself a nice kegerator and for a few days now I have had two great beers on tap. I can't help but to pour me a glass or 3 everyday. I just can't stop trying it out. And my IPA is 8.5% so it doesn't take too many of those to feel them.

Batch Sparge Homemade Mash tun from Cooler Thermometer

I use a 70 qt coleman extreme cooler as my mash tun. I was wondering if anyone has added a bulkhead for a thermometer like some brew kettles have. If so, is it an accurate way to keep and eye on your temps? If so where is the best place to install and how far does the thermometer stick into the...
