I like hoppy beer and i'm not a huge fan of malty beer. But its not odd that people lean to one style or another.

I will carb a beer then let it sit around for a month or two disconnected. Then when there is free space I hook it up and all is fine.

I think your best bet is to start small. Having a bunch of fancy equipment does not make good beer, practice does. I would recomend that you buy a starter kit and do some 5 gal extract batches. Now i'm not saying that fancy equipment isn't nice, I love my kegging setup and AG equipment, but...

+1 on brew pal. It does what I need and I always have it with me. But it all comes down to personal preference. If you like the software you use and make good beer with it then carry on!

Sounds like you need to balance your lines to prevent foaming (just do a search there is tons on the topic). Pulling the relief valve for every pour is what killed your beer IMO. Hope this helps

I planted 6 plants this year. I was only expecting about 10 ft of growth max. All six are above 20 ft and one of the cascades has about 2 oz of cones. Crazy how fast these plants can grow

I have the same setup you do (cable between two trees) but have not had issues with twine breaking. I used big box store twine and the freshop twine and see no difference between the two. How much slack did you give your twine?

I have 6 first year plants that I put in the ground in mid March. They came up and stayed under 2' till May. Now in the middle of June all six are around 20' and starting to flower. Give your plants fert and water and they should be fine.

I think the best thing for you to do is remove problem #1 (the pot) and #2 (the paint strainer). I don't think US-05 did that to your beer but like others said they could have taken in chemicals from the pot.

I keep my reg set at 11 psi. When a new keg gets hooked up, I wait two week to drink and all my beers have turned out great. The set and forget is easy for me with 4 taps to choose from.

There is drink called the lunchbox. 1/2 beer, 1/2 OJ, with a shot dropped in it (don't remember what). It was good despite the BMC.

+1 for the bait stations. I had ants all over the place in the house come spring. Traps went down and within a week I had no ants. I think they are Andro bait but not sure.

Keg connection is good. I got my 4 tap setup from them and love it.

For my barelywine I did 1 month primary, 1 month secondary, and then bottled. Tried one or two about 4 months is just to see how it will age (I'm thinking about 16 months before the next taste test).
