    trouble with temp in kegerator

    it has taken 36 hours to get the temp inside the kegerator down to 43 deg from room temp. there are two corny kegs inside. is this normal or do i have a bum fridge?

    NOOOOO attack of the rubber palate!!!

    i finally contaminated a beer. my seventh beer (banana bread ale) has a pronounced rubbery character. This beer fermented like crazy, my first beer that needed a blow off tube.     doubling up on my yeast

    should i do this. i notice lots of online videos where people use two packs if they don't make a starter. pro/cons?

    Thanks to everyone on here. Yesterday I brewed my first AG batch without any tragic surprises as well as tasted my first finished homebrew. SUCCESS!!! There is so much great information available here.

    Adding Sugar during fermentation........

    I read an interview with Andy Tveekrem where he mentions doing this. Who on here does this. Do the benifits out weigh the risks? What are the risks of doing this at home?

    Hydrometer question?

    Ok. so in "The Joy of Home Brewing," Charlie Papazian says that we should always siphon or ladle out a sample to do our hydrometer testing with. I understand that sanitation is the goal here, but why not simply sanitize the hydrometer? It seems like it doesn't really offer an extra protection...
