I just cracked open the Kiwit that I brewed about 5 weeks back and it is AWESOME! I am not afraid of Wit beer anymore :)... Nor am I afraid I fruit... getting a grapefruit IPA underway now. I added a little bit of oat flakes to the Kiwit when I brewed, just threw it in with my steeping grains...

Also, Papago Brewing company sometimes has it on tap, and you can purchase Redstone Meadery in the bottle there.

I will not fear the peel! I am super excited.... More than likely I'll tweak one of my past IPA recipes to use some of the more grapefruity hops and then add some peel to the wort... at flameout? Or should I be adding it with one of my hop additions?

I have read some things saying never to make a grapefruit beer... but what about the peel? I want that bitter citrusy flavor without the stomach acid taste that I hear accompanies grapefruit in your fermentation. Should I try peel or just abandon the grapefruit IPA idea?

I hear you on the note about crushing them, I actually did.... but maybe I need to get some kind of grinder or something to get the full flavor out of my coriander. I am going to give the kiwit recipe a try and we will see how that goes. Ill keep you posted! Thanks again:)
