    What is the proper way to make a yeast starter.

    I want to make a big RIS. I have read that you should use a yeast starter for a high grav stout. What is the proper way to do this and is this all the yeast that must be used? Thanks

    Carbonating question...

    Are you always supposed to boil the priming sugar first?

    We added 3/4 cup to 5 gallons of beer before bottling. We have had 2 batches that came out with only slight carbonation. Can anyone give me an answer on why?

    The next step...

    I have been brewing with extracts. The second batch we added a few hops to it and then did liquid yeast instead of dry yeast. What do you guys consider the next step? Thanks guys.

    A sanitizing and fermentation question...

    We are doing primary and secondary fermentation and I am wondering what you guys do to sanitize. Its our second batch and we have been mainly just swirling the sanitized water in the primary bucket and carboy. Do you recommend letting everything soak in the sanitizing solution? Do you also...
