    I'm never sure how much hops I should use. I know lighter beers should have less, and darker beers can be more heavily hopped. But how do you know how much you should use? Also can some one throw in the usage ratio between hop pellets and whole hops.

    When I make a blond, 15 - 20 $Canadian Amber ale 25 - 30 $Cdn Stout 60 - 70$ Cdn But I make 5 Imperial Gallons at a time = 6 US Gallons

    I would suggest if you are kegging your beer, to take a chance and see if it comes out good. Personaly - if your bottling it - to much work for the risk. What type of beer where you making and how far into fermentation where you?

    A lager question...

    Ok, thanks... so you guys suggest that I do add yeast at the end of the lagger period. Should I just add with the priming sugar, or should I put it in a pint of water first? And should I gentling stir it in or add it while racking to bottling bucket this way it stirs it-self in?
