Requesting Picture of Colorado Brewing Nano Brewing 1BBL Frame

Is that your system? Super nice if so, especially the keg washer.. But mine was a little different, it was a 50gal kettle with the electric winch and three supports for the trolley rail thingymajig.

Requesting Picture of Colorado Brewing Nano Brewing 1BBL Frame

Hi, I have a 1BBL single vessel Colorado Brewing Nano Brewer system, but am missing the top portion of the frame with the trolley for the winch and all that. I was hoping for a picture so I could take it to a fabricator and have them make replacement parts, but I've been unable to find any...

    Glycol Chiller for Serving?

I almost went with the cool zone, but I don’t like that they aren’t insulated, so I’d have to insulate over them. I’m still kinda leaning toward the coolstix, takes up less space when not in use and seems less finicky overall (with the coolstix, I can just put on the insulation jacket and drop...

    Glycol Chiller for Serving?

Yeah a cooling jacket would be more efficient indeed, but I didn’t have any luck finding such. Can someone provide a link? Ideally it works with torpedo kegs as well as corneys.

    Glycol Chiller for Serving?

Yeah I was planning on an enclosure. I’m now thinking a tri clamp bulkhead on the lid will be really fiddly in such a tight space. Those lids are already hard enough ti get on as is. Is there a different port or fitting that might work better for this application that’s compatible with coolstix?

    Glycol Chiller for Serving?

If I built an insulted cabinet to hold some kegs, or a cabinet per keg, and ran glycol through each keg with something like a coolstix[0] mounted on a tri clamp corney lid [1], how inefficient would this be compared to a normal kegerator or keezer, provided it was equivalently insulated (i.e...

Excess of Stainless Drums - 3 Vessel?

what do you guys use for fermentors? curious why I don’t see more (micro) breweries using 55gal drums as such. I’ve got a 1BBL eBIAB (Colorado) and a bunch of these drums, so if I find a sweetheart deal it’d be cool to be able try running a commercial brewery without buying much more. I live in...

Excess of Stainless Drums - 3 Vessel?

Thanks, seems like it should be as simple as I thought then. Just curious, why don’t see I more people, especially brewery startups, doing this? It’s crazy cheap compared to other 1BBL electric options. Is there a drawback I’m not seeing?

    Sparge Compromises

Hi all! I do BIABasket brewing on a Unibrau V3 10gal, and I'm wanting to maximize my efficiency, but also don't want a bigger / bulkier setup or significantly longer brew day (in terms of hands-on time, anyway), so a dedicated HLT or cooler is out of the question, imo. I recently purchased the...

Excess of Stainless Drums - 3 Vessel?

I have 3 55gal drums and one 85gal, all stainless with removable lids and two tri-clamp ports installed at the bottom. I’ve been unsure what to do with them (they currently reside at a farm), but today it occurred to me that they’d potentially make a very natural electric 3-vessel setup. Could...

    Aerating Wort via Fly Sparge?

I would be doing this after the wort has chilled though. And yeah I’d be pitching right after. Am I misunderstanding something?

    Aerating Wort via Fly Sparge?

Ok, what about aerating via a fly sparge arm? This is even more inline with my goals since I wouldn’t need to possess or clean any additional equipment. Yeah but you only need 8ppm for oxygen, and I’ve read it absorbs quickly. If I ran it through the dip tube maybe it’d work? I have a sparge...

    Aerating Wort via Fly Sparge?

How effective would aerating wort through a fly sparge arm be? Has anyone done any testing on this to see how effective it is? I edited this post, originally had a bad idea about trying to aerate via pressurizing the fermenting vessel with O2. So please ignore the following: I’m mulling over...

Using Jacketed Conical to Chill Wort?

I’m eyeing a jacketed conical and wondering if it’s possible to chill wort by first running cold tap water through the jacket, then draining and switching to glycol once it’s sub-90F or so. If this is feasible, how long might this take in an 8gal conical? I would be circulating the wort while...

Would you mind PMing me? I’m unsure how to do so ATM.

    For Sale [SOLD] NY - Unibrau V3 (110v x 2) + many extras

Cool! I’m also trying to go for a smaller footprint and easier overall process too personally. I think this and a conical to brew higher gravity batches (like seen in the Unibrau Pro system) will be perfect for me. Let me know what you come up with for shipping!
