Just planted the rhizomes in Maui. They seem to be doing ok so far.

    Hop growing in the tropics

We just planted 5 cascades on Maui. I know that the sunlight is an issue. Also, you need a month of cold weather for them to go dormant. We are planting in Upcountry where we have a better climate change than the lower areas of Maui. We will see how they do and may possibly plant more if they...

    Hops in Hawaii

I just got off of the phone with Freshops and they feel hops wont do well in the Islands because of the warm weather year round and the shortness of day light. Also, mildew could pose a problem. I am going to try some Cascade rhizomes in the spring as testers.

    I am baffled

I cant seem to figure this out. I brewed a 10 gallon AG batch with a SG of 1.050. Built up a huge yeast starter fresh from the Wyeast pouch and pitched at bout 72 f. Conical was sterilized properly as well as my aeration stone. O2 went through a filter as well. Had great fermentation for a...

    3/8" or 1/2" manifold

I prefer 1/2", but I dont think it matters. I think it is a volume issue, but not enough of one to make a difference. This is just my opinion.

    Keggle Design Question

a 7/8" hole about 1" above the weld line works out perfect. This is for weld-less fittings. The fittings required for your application maybe a little different. These work great for all of my keggles.

Question about setting up sink for shop.

To be on the safe side. I would not mount the motor to the sink. They were designed to mount to the wall under the sink, hence "undersink mounted" Try to leave at least 6" clearance between the two

Question about setting up sink for shop.

I dont see why a garden hose above ground wouldnt work as long as you filter the water on the tail end when you fill your pots

    5 gallon Sankes

My partner and I are only distributing to his bar, but as soon as we triple check legalities, we will start selling to other local bars. The problem is, we dont need that many as we are only making one type of beer right now. Another year or so, we might add other flavors, then we will need more...

    5 gallon Sankes

I am going to be buying a pallet of 5 gallon Sanke kegs brand new. They come in quantities of 20. Is anyone interested in some? They cost $93.00 a piece, unless you want them shipped then add whatever the shipping cost would be.
