    Coffee Wine

So, I did mine in a five gallon batch and started with 10 lbs white granulated sugar. I used Red Star Premier Blanc yeast. Mine came out at roughly 18 1/2%!! Going to back-sweeten and bottle in a week or so. Hopefully, it'll be really tasty in 6 months!

How much sugar for Jack Keller Peach Wine (2) recipe

I'm interested in trying this Keller's recipe. To those with experience with it, does it finish dry, or sweet? My brain is guessing sweet, but I've been fooled by my brain before!

How do I get rid of debris in my beer?

If all else fails, I like to use a paint strainer bag from my local hardware store when I rack to the bottling bucket. I just soak the bag in my sanitizer then wring it out, line my bottling bucket with it, and siphon my beer into it. Works pretty dang good.

    Aerate the Wort!

what the Hell is that thing? Looks like something I saw on an adult website once! ;)

    EMERGENCY!! Please help asap!!

yep bottle away. Even if it's bad, it'll still be beer..... perhaps undrinkably bad beer... but beer nonetheless. Pass it off on your least favorite friends and tell em it's a special lambic and it's supposed to taste that way. But chances are, it won't be bad and you'll end up stashing it...

Any place to get free bottles?

I've also heard of people hitting up their local recycling centers

Extract Recipe for a Black IPA

I've never heard of cold steeping..... do you follow the same water ratio as you would for a hot steep... 1-2 quarts per pound? and next question... do you then dump the whole kit and kaboodle (grains and water) on the stove and do a hot steep (155 degrees) for an hour?

Nipped the tip - can it be fixed?

Us cheapskates prefer to call it "Frugal"! I have an uncle that is beyond frugal.... they only flush their toilet once a day to save money!

    Beer makes mouth numb

I've brewed a couple brews that were so bad they made my tongue pucker and tingle a bit (I just assumed it was hop bitterness and carbonation) but never had one go numb..... Save it for sore throat spray! ;)

    One Year Fermenting, Now What?

You sir are either a masochist or a saint. Sometimes it's hard to differentiate between the two. Either way, you have my respect!

To bottle or not to bottle?

Judging from the earlier post where you said it made you feel rather ill after drinking it, I would pawn it off on an enemy rather than a friend! :D

30 Gallons of beer in the house

I'm similar to ohiosteve here.... If I was to average out my drinking over the entire year, it'd be less than two beers per day.... I enjoy the heck out of drinking it, but I enjoy brewing it even more...

    Bottle Count\Batching Timing Question

I've got just over 8 cases of 12 ounce bottle and am always lusting after more! and I don't even brew that often..... as long as you've got space, save them bottles!

    Why Oxiclean?

I just do an overnight soak in oxyclean...then rinse and store...... when it's time to use equipment again I do a quick rinse to get rid of dust (yeah...I gather dust...I don't get to brew often enough) and sanitize and I'm ready to go!

    Success
