    water temp for mash

    What temp water should I use to reach a 150 degree mash when added to 10lbs of grain?

    done?

    I'm doing an extract Amber, it's been in the primary for 5 days now, and there's no more bubbling from my airlock at all. It bubbled like crazy for 3 days, then slowed way down, and for the past 2 days theres been nothing. Ready for secondary?

    Newb question

    When doing an all grain, is sparging a timed thing, or do you just let the wort drain immediately? I also see some recipes call for leaving the wort at several temperatures for a certain time each.:confused:

    newbie to brewing

    Hi all. Just last weekend a buddy and I were sitting in my living-room drinking beer, when it suddenly struck me that it would be alot of fun to brew some beer of my own. I've been a beer coniseur(beer-snob,lol) for years now, so it just seems like the right thing to do to try my hand...
