    Making hazy IPA perceptibly sweet

I’ve been brewing hazy IPA for a year now. My latest one is the best I’ve made yet, but seems dry. OG 1.063 FG 1.012 Sierra Nevada has a newer beer called “Juicy Little Thing.” It’s in my top 3 of all time. It’s very tropical like mine, but is perceptibly sweet. Just enough to make to really...

I can finally dry hop successfully.

I got into brewing wanting to make hazy IPAs right away and read up quite a bit. Went straight to kegging. I posted on here about dry hopping hazy IPAs and oxidation. I oxidized some even before transferring to the keg. Some things I read online just don’t align with my real life experience...

Grain to glass in 3 days!

I’ve been brewing for awhile now. I’m patient, but I always take a sample here and there just to see how the beer is progressing. I see these short grain to glass time videos. Every time I’ve tried a beer shortly after it’s done fermenting it’s been pretty ngarly, other than the fruited Philly...

What do young hoppy beers taste like to you?

What does a hoppy beer taste like to you after the hop burn is gone, but still isn’t ready?

North Coast Pranqster is top notch

In an effort to try more styles of beer, I bought some Westmalle Trippels and Dubbels from BevMo. I really wanted to taste the spice/clove people talk about. They were about a year old. Wasn't a fan, but happy I tried them. Maybe if they were more fresh they'd be better? I got to try Allagash...

    Philly sour is awesome

Had a go with Philly Sour. Very impressed. This is a no frills kind of recipe that I came up with. At 7% ABV it has some body, but is still very refreshing. 3 gallon batch 1.058 OG 55% pale 2 row 40% white wheat malt 5% dextrose 7IBU Citra Mashed at 148F for 60 min. 30 minute boil. I added...

    Citra grapefruit pith finish

I've brewed 2 beers with Citra hops that I ordered when MB had pounds for $16 awhile back. I vacuum sealed them and tossed them in the freezer right away. First beer was a 5 gallon batch of Citra, Mosaic and El Dorado hazy IPA. 1oz / gallon each hopstand and 1oz gallon each dry hop on day 3...

    Hi, from California.

Hiya, I've loved beer for years and finally got into brewing. I built a keezer right away, as I like hoppy beers and want to avoid oxidation. I did a 1.5g SMaSH beer on my stove and was hooked. Golden Promise and Mosiac. Fermented with US-05. Ended up getting one of those Clawhammer 120v...

Oxidized batch in 2 days with closed transfer.

I'm a long time lurker and just joined. Love brewing and this forum! I've brewed 4 batches of beer that turned out good, but this last one has me stumped. Trying to get some help. My favorite styles are hoppy beers, so I went straight to kegging due to oxidation. -Clawhammer supply 120v...
