    Another Mash Tun question

    I have a 10 gallon Gott cooler w/ false bottom that I use as a mash tun. I want to upgrade to 10 gallon batches. I am looking to do Baltic Porter with about 7% ABV. I am wondering if the tun will be big enough.

    How long can crushed grains keep?

    It too am "a ways" from a LHBS. In the past I have used grians that were crushed over a month prior to brewing and have not had a problem. I just made sure I stored them in a cool dry place (such as my mash tun)

    Rebooting this hobby

    Started brewing in the late 80s. Went All grain in mid 90s. Brewed fairly regularly - about once a month- until 2006 (or 2007). Brewed 2 batches since. Getting ready to retire and looking to start up again in earnest. Most of my equipment eeds ot be upgraded so I will focus on that first. So...
