Yeah, I left it for like 4months and then one day decided to check it and boom, it was done. I had already added three different yeasts to it and nothing worked. I would swirl it around every once in awhile. I guess it just took some time.
Finally fermented down to nothing! Very alcoholic now! Not a fan. I am letting it age in the bottle now to see if it will get better with time. Good luck on yours! Just put it in a glass carboy and forget about it for awhile and see what happens.
Ok, so i am ready to start playing with water chemistry! I have been using my tap water mixed with pure water but I want to get more precise. I am brewing all grain.
I will be starting with pure water from the water windmill (pay by the gallon place)
Here are my questions
1. I have...
So am i better off using my tap water (high is all areas) half tap water and half filtered water or all filtered water and add some buffer 5.2? Is it easyier to adjust my own water or start with pure water and add some things to it?
oh I thought of really good advice! Brew before you think you need more beer, because by the time you need more beer you will be out for 5-6 weeks, and that is a long 5 weeks!
Welcome. The advice I always give, is don't skimp! You will buy something cheaper and then down the line will wish you had gotten the better one. Especially things like your kettle. Go big, or you will kick yourself later! Also if you can afford it, get a wort chiller!
ok so I think the restart did not work as you all said it would not. Is it to late to try another restart, or will I ruin the batch I have? Should I just leave it alone and have a sweet braggot?
so Saturday I bottled my 4th batch, and I feel like a one man assembly line! I have figured out how to put the bottling wand into one beer while capping the one before it and then grabbing the one filling before it overflows! Doing two things at once, has made mt bottling time way less!
