    1st infecton....anything more likey

    My last batch is infected. Brew day and bottle day went great ( I thought). So, are infections likely to be one thing over another? Say tubing or the outosiphon or am I screwed....and need to replace everything? Todd

    Low efficiency with PM

    Blue moon yeast ?

    Anyone know what kind of yeast is in blue moon. And please dont say WLP 400 or Wyeast 3944. I dont get any of those strong clove/bannana/bubble gum flavors when I drink a blue moon.

    Hops for a blonde

    Yeast for Wit vs Hefe

    Is the yeast used for Hefes and Wits the same? I used a WLP 400 for my Hefe and want to make a Wit now. The WLP 400 seems to be the yeast of choice for Wits. If so, they are basically the same minus the fruit addition at the end for the wit.?.?.?

    Hefeweizen taste

    Just bottled a hefe, 1st sample = strong ... bannana taste. I dont mind it too much but would like it to calm down a bit. Is this a taste that will calm down over time or am I stuck?

    liquid yeast ?

    Made my second homebrew last night, it is wheat beer with belgium liquid yeast. I had to shake that yeast like crazy at room temp to get it back into suspension. Any chance this hurt the yeast?

    How long is beer good for once bottled

    My first attempt at a homebrew is a holiday ale (brewers best kit). Og 1.063. I kind of just want to set it my basement (55-60 deg) after I bottle it and drink it next holiday season. Will it still be OK to drink in a year?
