    Stored grain accidentally heated up.

Thanks. I figured I was being overly paranoid. That is a very valid point about shipping.

    Stored grain accidentally heated up.

I have been brewing for about 15 years and never had this happen, but I just brought home my grain bill of Maris and wheat for a nice westie I plan to brew in about a week. I set the grain down on and around a dehydrator we have. My wife decided to use the dehydrator without moving the grain...

Metallic Taste in all beer in new keezer

Update. Thanks everyone for your replies and sharing of experience. I removed the c02 hoses and soaked them in PBW. Also blew out the secondary regulator under 30 psi at each connection. Reconnected everything and I have no more metallic taste. So my guess is some oil from the new secondary...

Metallic Taste in all beer in new keezer

    ANVIL FOUNDRY ALL-GRAIN BREWING SYSTEM

Thanks for the heads up. Doesn’t surprise me. I was thinking about this for washing the unit too since they moved the controller to the top. I will certainly look to seal mine.

    ANVIL FOUNDRY ALL-GRAIN BREWING SYSTEM

I’m still waiting on my Foundry to arrive. I can hardly wait to use it, but I use an immersion chiller or a thermonater to chill my wort. What I do is recycle the was water with a small sump pump. I run the waste water through a hose to a homemade immersion chiller that is in a bucket of ice...
