    1st Cider attempt, question about pasteurization

    I was about to start my first attempt at a small batch(1 gallon) of cider. I was planning on adding a small amount of sugar before bottling to get a light carbonation. I was wondering if its necessary to pasteurize it after bottling?

    Antioxidant question

    I'm new at winemaking and I was looking over some future recipes I want to make. I've noticed some of the recipes in the book that came with my 1 gallon kit, call for an antioxidant at bottling. Is that different from the potassium sorbate stabilizer? Thanks

    Topping off carboy
