    Is this mold?

    I noticed a whitish color on top of my kombucha jar today. The bulk of the scoby is at the bottom of the jar but this is at the top. Could this be young mold? Thanks

    New Scoby/ is this mold

    Hi all, This is my first home grown scoby. It was a little under 1/4” thick when i started trying to brew with it. Its always had this little discoloration on top and Im curious if it is healthy or mold. Thanks!
