Cloning HopHands by Tired Hands Brewing Company

Any thoughts on using 002 in this beer? My LHBS doesn't carry wyeast and was out of safale 04. Thanks for the research, tired hands is by far one of the best newer breweries that I have tried, everything they make is fantastic.

    Economical Immersion Chillers??

I just built mine 50' of 3/8" copper and the fittings cost about the same as the 25' ones at the stores only took about 10 min to build so the extra cooling efficiency was worth it to me

Pomegranate Wheat Questions - POM Juice

Quick update for the 3 people that might be interested.... Bottled beer is tasting great after a week in the bottle. Nicely carbed and has a great pomegranate flavor and tart finish. 60oz. in 5 gal was a nice amount.

Pomegranate Wheat Questions - POM Juice

Yeah that stuff can get pricy, luckily i found a 60oz container at costco for $10! Future batches of POM wheat will probably be dependent on cheap POM juice. Although you might be able to sub in some bald eagle heads and Faberge eggs and get a similar tartness?

    Added pomegranate to a tertiary

i have a wheat beer in secondary that i added 60oz. of POM juice to. I also found little help on the internet for using pomegranate in beer. Judging from my hydro samples it should taste pretty good, the pom added more of a tartness than a sweetness. I'll post back after i bottle and see how...

    Worth DIYing a chiller?

I made mine with 50' of 3/8" copper and just used compression fittings to fit to a hose thread... cost about $65 where my local homebrew store was charging about $70 for a 25' chiller. I feel like I came out a little ahead
