    Stupid keezer question

Almost all of the keezer builds I've seen involve making a collar and attaching the tap handles to the collar. I'm thinking of just putting a 2-tap tower through the lid. Is there a reason I don't want to do this? Will I be able to open the lid all the way, or do I need to keep my beer lines...

BeerSmith wants to mash my steeping grains (PM)

So far, I've been an "extract with steeping grains" brewer, but I'm planning my first partial mash using BeerSmith. For those with the book, I'm using the Cowboy Alt recipe from Brewing Classic Styles as my basis. I plan to mash the Munich malt and steep the Aromatic, CaraMunich, and Carafa...

    First Batch, Low OG

I got my brewing equipment this morning for Christmas and immediately proceeded to ignore my wife & family while I brewed my first extract kit. I'm sure I'll pay for that later, but that's for another day... Anyway, I did my best to follow the expert advice on these forums, in John Palmer's...

    Noob from Shirley, MA

Hi all. I guess I consider myself a "pre-noob" since I haven't brewed my first batch yet. I've been interested in brewing for a while, but am finally getting a starter kit this Christmas. I've been reading this forum to be sure I really wanted to get into this hobby and have been...
