    never-ending fermentation conundrum

After asking similar questions I am confident the tenor of responses will be to wait answers see. Hind sight is 20/20, the hydrometer is a good friend to use as it can answer questions. I have a pumpkin ale that is pretty blah... I am hoping time will help it along, if not then I'll drink the...

Permanently marking glass carboy for each gallon?

Wax. A layer of bees wax or other soft wax is great to scratch through and then armour cream. It is great for free hand sketching. A medium density wax can be cut out as well and peeled off. You can also make a small scale sand-blaster that works well too. Just what you need...another hobby...

    Chilling

UPDATE: I'll be spending the money to make a coiled wort chiller. The frozen jugs helped but it is like fighting an uphill battle. Tomorrow I'll spend the $ to make a real wort chiller. There is nothing new under the sun!

Beer Evangelist...I like it I heard our LBH is looking to offer this feature in their store too. It is funny how the things that use to be unthinkable luxuries, over time, come closer to necessities. When I was a young buck I backpacked all over Europe, AK and the western US. The thought...

    Chilling

Was thinking about freezing a couple gallon milk jugs full of water, sterilize them and them put them in the wort to chill it like a couple large ice cubes. The caps will remain on and no water would / should get in the wort. Any one ever try or hear about his before. There are few original ideas.

Bad day in traffic caught up with me. I apologize for my edged response. After tasting it, as suggested by a couple others, I am still hopeful. Maybe santa will have pity and send a camera my way

    Lacto infection

I just tasted it and it is pretty good. I wouldn't have thought that the strands might have been pumpkin. Everything from the can had the consistency of tomato sauce. Thanks for the tips.
