    Chocolate Orange Porter/Stout Recipe

I have an idea to make a chocolate orange porter/stout. I was thinking of starting with a good solid chocolate porter recipe and infusing some orange flavour in there. Any ideas on this? Anybody brew a chocolate orange beer yet?

Let's see some pics of your pilsners/lagers in carboys

I just racked my pilsner to a secondary last night and it just seems a little darker than what I was thinking it would look like. (almost a light amber colour) I'm curious to see if you guys have made pilsners that look as dark as mine while in a carboy. So....let's see 'em!

I know this is normal but...

I've had a hefeweizen fermenting for about a week now and I took a sample of it last night to check the gravity. So far so good. The flavour was really good too but....it smells like sulpher. I know certain yeasts emit sulpher while fermenting but my question is this... When does this smell...

Any chance this recipe will create a decent beer?

Anybody else not a big fan of highly hopped beers?

Let me clarify... I like hops. I like to taste hops in beers where it's appropriate, however I'm just not a huge fan of highly hopped beer styles. I've tried as many of the critically acclaimed highly hopped beers but none of them really did it for me. (Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Sierra Nevada...

I'd love to try some of your beer!

Anybody want to send me some of your beer? I'll pay for the shipping to have it sent to me and I'll even ship the bottles back if you want. Make sure you include as much info about the beer as possible. I'll make sure to write up a full review of the beer so you can get an outsider's opinion...

Did I make a BIG mistake?

Long story short.... I'm brewing my first pilsner (2nd batch ever) My yeast didn't take off (my fault) I gave it about 2 weeks to see if it would eventually start up. No luck. This is what I did... I added a Saflager S-23 yeast to it last night after rehydrating it and it seemed to be...

    Is my yeast ok?

I started a Brew House Pilsner kit last night and used a Wyeast 2007 Pilsner yeast instead of the Cooper's dry yeast supplied. Here's my question... After 14-15 hours in my basement at about 55 fahrenheit I have no activity at all. Now this is only my second batch of beer but my first batch...
