    Aluminum Keg

What do you mean by "Late returning it"? Late as in 30 years? I don't see why they wouldn't take it back, unless it is an outdated keg, then I'd say it's AL. That's aluminum .. cleaned up. Can't get deposits on these kegs.

    Spa Panel with GFI Wiring

I guess if you are running all 220, you could use 3 wire, like the old clothes driers, but you lose your neutral than.

    Spa Panel with GFI Wiring

You need 4 wires for 220 (2 - Hot, Ground, Neutral). The 3 wire that you have is for 110, which is Hot, Neutral, Ground. Have to remember that Neutral carries power, so from what I'm reading, you are grounding the neutral, if you tied the ground and neutral together. Also, 10 gauge can't...

    bottling from primary

I know there's a guy on youtube that adds the priming sugar to each individual bottle. I don't recall his reasoning for it or why he was doing it. I think it was just to have each bottle being a little different.

    kegworks

You can daisy chain them, just need to take the pressure release valve off. You could get something a lot cheaper....If you already have the shutoff's. I just went with one shutoff from my regulator, to prevent the backup. I always keep the disconnects connected, so I don't need individual...

Nate's RIMs build - the brew throne

The listing actually doesn't say they are stainless steel ... what it does state is they are "Stainless Steel Ball Valves", meaning the ball valve inside is stainless. These are the same as the brass ones, as the brass ones have a stainless steel ball valve too.

    Help with vintage keggle build?

    It's a "Golden Gate" keg. http://www.kegworks.com/blog/2009/07/15/golden-gate-keg-tap-couplers/

Do you refill or exchange your CO2 bottles

I exchange and refill. I have one 20lb that I exchange and 2 20lbs that I get refilled, they aren't new and shinny, actually they are 34+ years old, they belonged to my grandpa, he was a Grain Belt Beer distributor. Costs me the same to refill or exchange, just refills take some time. Comes...

    The dangers of multitasking...

At least that isn't as messy as sticking the tap on a full keg and having beer spray everywhere ... sad thing, I've done it 2 - 3 times! I never learn......

Filling CO2, weights, tare, etc... sure I got it right but want to verify

And sometimes they just don't pay attention. I took in a tank that the last hydro test was in 96. I told them I wanted that tank back and did not want an exchange, also told them it needed to be hydro tested, well when it came back, no new date stamped. They sent it off, but it only got...

    CO2 Regulator Gauge Issue

Yes, you need a refill. IIRC the primary regulator needs a minimum 200 psi and secondary and only be supplied with a maximum of 200 psi. So, basically there isn't enough pressure in the tank to push through the regulator. I could however be wrong.

What do you do for a living?

Police officer is my main profession. I also volunteer with our local ambulance service as an EMT. My wife and me owe an online business (which use to make money), and just purchased a day care. I mostly do the maintence, but have watched the kids in a pinch ... (not really my thing).

How many gallons at a time do you brew

I've been doing 2 - 5 gallon batches at a time. It takes me around 4 hours to do 1 5 gallon batch, and about 5 hours to do two. I do the 60 minute boil of the first while the second is in the mash tun. Works pretty well. Once I finish my 15 gallon brew pot, I'll hopefully just do 10...

    Keezer project tips

I put the lid on the collar, but for the life of me can't remember if I attached the collar to the keezer. I know I bought liquid nails... iirc I just siliconed around the collar and the freezer. It did take some adjusting to the the lid to close properly. I didn't want the added weight on...

    Pin lock vs. Ball lock

I see a lot more ball lock, but that's just me. I really don't think it makes much difference.

    Carbing Kool-Aid??

I do 5 gallons of lemon aid and have done tang also. Both will carbonate.

Is it to early to start Kegging?

I've never bottled a batch either and went right to kegging. I just didn't want to store cases and cases of bottles. A 5 gallon keg takes up a lot less room than 2+ cases of bottles. You can build a cheap beer gun, if you to want to bottle from the keg. Just watch craigslist, can normally...

    can this be fixed?

That should be a pressure relief hole, as in when you turn down the pressure, the co2 in the line will be released through that hole to allow the pressure to equalize, otherwise you'd have to bleed the line yourself. If it is always releasing, i'd go with the rebuild kit.

How long does a CO2 cylinder last?

You are best off going bigger than you think you need ... a lot cheaper in the long run. I went with a 20 lb tank. Remember, you'll go through a LOT of gas if you have any small leaks.

From Tank to Regulator to Distro Question.

All you need is a secondary regulator. It can be supplied from your distribution block ... Just have to remember that the pressure from the secondary regulator will be equal or less than that supplied from the primary regulator. My secondary regulators are supplied with 20 lbs, unless I have...
