    It's been almost a year....

    This was just my 2nd batch. I do 5 gallon batches using a 6 gallon glass carboy. The first batch turned out really good, I got quite a few complements on it. Unfortunately, I just didn't have the time or energy to brew again until tonight. I figure I'll brew another batch right around Christmas...

    Yeah, it feels great! Definitely more laid back than the first time I brewed as well, it just gets easier from here on out.

    hop and protein sludge, pour it in?

    I just brewed my first batch of beer Tuesday night. I filtered out the hops, but it was a pain in the a** and very messy as it keep clogging up the strainer. I'm thinking I will try skipping this step next time as I think I ended up losing more wort than was worth the effort :mad:. Oh well, live...

    Hello from Ft Lauderdale!

    Well, after talking about homebrewing for a few years, I finally bought my first kit and I got a smile from ear to ear. Can't wait to taste that first homebrew. Finding a lot of helpful info in these forums, so many thanks to all who contribute!
