Adding a 240 volt outlet to my garage.

If the panel is your main panel, meaning it is the main disconnect for the dwelling, you will have the neutral and grounds bonded and using the same bus bar. This is normal, and to code. When you get to a subpanel, like the Spa panel mentioned, then you will need to have sperate neutral and...

How do you Mash in w/BIAB?

I grind my grains into a 5 gallon bucket. Heat my strike water. Then slowly pour the grains in. Then I use my comically large 24” whisk. Works great every time and not a lot of effort involved.

What to put on ceiling above vent hood for basement brewery?

Yes, this. FRP is what's commonly used on the walls, etc, of commercial kitchens. It's not expensive.

Best way to sparge with BIAB Brewing?

I've got a ratcheting pulling. I can hoist my bag up the point where a couple inches of it is still in the wort in my kettle. So I lift it up and over a second pot we use for canning and squeeze the **** out it with high heat gloves on. Then just pour that into the kettle for the boil. That...

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Planning on brewing a light IPA, with Simcoe, Lemondrop, and Mosaic. I think the packet of yeast I pulled out of the fridge for the starter is dead though. Use by 12/4/20. Proper Starter can is fresh though. I have another. If it doesn't perk up, off to the LHBS!

    BIAB - Commercial scale?

I don't see any reason you can't use separate fermenters.

    Isoflow o-rings

I've learned now that you can never have too many o-rings.

    Isoflow o-rings

Heard back from Northern Brewer. Here's the details. AS568-014 SILICONE O-RING, -014 McMaster-Carr carries them, as well as most other places. An 014 size heat resistant silicone o-ring. The big set I have stops at 013, of course.

    Isoflow o-rings

Thanks, I sent them an e-mail but haven't heard back. You'd think this would be listed right on the instruction sheet instead of just "2x O-rings".

    Isoflow o-rings

Hi all, Went to do some cleaning on my 10 gal Megapot 1.2, and I noticed an O-ring had worn out inside the isoflow bulkhead. It's the one the diptube meets up with. Went through all my gaskets and don't seem to have any that fit properly. I'm sure someone here knows what size to use. My...

    Exhaust hood?

Did they boil water on that stove? Probably. I can't imagine it wouldn't be ok.

Reflectix - how to you attach it to your kettle?

That's what I'm using. Two pieces on the kettle to attach the refelctix to. Then a strip on the reflectix itself so it stays put after it gets wrapped around the kettle.

    BIAB induction indoors: avantco burner

Love my Avantco 3500. Using it with a 10 gallon MegaPot 1.2.

    Brewing out of Maryland

We stopped going to Brookeville when it turned into a day care center. We're at EP pretty regularly, prolly 3-4 times a month. Waredaca, which is right around the corner form EP is fantastic. We're there regularly too.

    Brewing out of Maryland

Looks like GO-Brew meets in Olney regularly at Brookeville. Haven't been to Brookeville in ages.

    Brewing out of Maryland

Dumb question. Is there a MoCo brew club? Should we start a MoCo brew club?
