    Pilots who are avid brewers

What a small world. I was a crew chief on the KC-135R for six years at Robins AFB Ga, but got out two years ago to learn how to fly. If you enjoy wenching you'll like being an A&P, by far the best type of mechanic to be.

Don't worry about the intrusion you guys always have the right of way:mug: On a side note I don't know if I could fly a balloon, I think I'm scared of heights.

A&P/SEL/MEL/Instrument Commercial and about to finish up with CFI within the next few weeks. College and pilot training have been a blast:tank:, but with graduation looming I’m not sure about going the professional pilot route in these hard times. I will probably try and weather the down...

Love Temp Controller Series TS wiring diagram (2008+)

I've got a quick question about wiring the love controller. The thermostat in my mini fridge is toast so I would like to wire up a love controller. Instead of wiring it using the extension cord method I would like to use the existing thermostat wires and mount the love controller in the...

    Traveling with fermenting beer...

Wow..talk about opening up a can of worms:o Defiantly not my intention just wanted to crack a joke. I don't think a cop in his right mind would give a ticket for transporting fermenting beer. Not like you can reach back there and take a swig.:cross: I too am a advocate of road sodas...

Glass Carboy: Does it need to be covered?

If the carboy is in a dark closet or at least out of sun light than there is no need to cover. Most people will cover even with indirect sunlight. (Myself included) I don't think the fermentation from adding fruit will be strong enough to raise your secondary temps that much. If you...

    Austin Homebrew Fat Tire?

The amount of water you steep your grains in does not make a difference, but the temp does. So hold your temp at 155* for X amount of time then take the grains out and ramp up the heat for the boil:rockin: Edit: Fu@% I type to slow Forrest beat me to it.

    6.5 gal bucket

Your fine. Contamination can only happen by airborne Bactria or wild yeast. The fact you had the lid on makes this unlikely. Snap the lid closed if you can if not don't sweat you'll still have good beer.:D
