    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

I measure and control RIMS output from the MT sensor using hysteresis. System works very well and has produced award winning beers. NeoBrew makes a fair point regarding high temps in the tube. Though, I believe that element size (wattage) and power settings are a factor. My system has a 2000w...

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

I used the interface board from Mash to Brew. Then connected DC-DC SSRs to each pump and heater. Was able to locate power plugs that match the Brewtech plugs: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LF1193N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

Have had great success with my CBPi 3.0 controller on two SS Brewtech fermenters. I used the Brewtech heaters and glycol pumps, all 12VDC. Added Tilt with a separate Pi to report stats to Brewers Friend web server. Much better success than with the brewery controller which only works manually.

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

Question for those using Tilt. Setup and testing CBPi 3.0 controlling glycol pump and heater for my conical. All good. Added the Tilt plug-in and connected the Tilt. Reads it no problem. How can I get gravity graph or chart of the Tilt readings in CBPi?

Initial impressions of the Ss Brew Tech 10G Infusion mash tun

The SS holds temps well. I had the RIMS on my system using a cooler. Just kept it hooked up with the new mash tun. Don't use it for the full mash time. Start with it running to stabilize temp. Will run it again for the last ~10min to clarify the wort. Tried using it to ramp to mash-out. Never...

Initial impressions of the Ss Brew Tech 10G Infusion mash tun

Make the switch from plastic cooler to the SS last year. Very happy with the product. I use a RIMS and recirculate. Wort is very clear into the boil kettle. It is MUCH easier to clean.

    Brewery names--what's your story?

LagerWerks. Grew up in “logging” country and like to brew “lagers”. Logo is a large cross cut saw.

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

Thank you for this simple instruction that made it all begin to work. Very frustrating that there isn't a CBP for dummies guide. Cause I'm a dummy on this program. More questions for the group now that I can get basic steps to work correctly. 1. After reaching target temp for the strike water...

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

I have tried importing from Beersmith. After the file loads, I select the start button. Again, the pump steps will work. The heat steps, burner for boil or RIMS for mash do not. If you have to use the "car" symbol to engage the auto mode for each heating step, whats the point? Just as well stay...

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

Currently, no pun intended, I drive the SSRs with 3v off the RBP extension board. No issues with that. So I would need an Arduino and possibly the suggested Feather board, correct? The PIDS used for manual mode are cut out of the circuit in auto mode. Wired a toggle to allow for manual PID...

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

Need some help. I have CBP3 running and watched all the videos on how to setup the hardware. All actors work in manual mode. However, when I build the brew steps, none of the heating steps work. The pump steps do work. Here is a list of my actual brewery equipment: Main burner is a propane...

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

BrunDog, Been following these posts. Really like what I see. Although for me, it may be to late. Just finished my controller based on the CraftbeerPI program. Problem I’m having is that it doesn’t work. Wondering how much $$ and time to convert to your system. Not concerned about licensing as I...
