Anvil Brewing Pump - use for multiple purposes?

I'm looking to add to my setup for doing small batch BIAB (5 gallons). I was looking at the Anvil Brewing Pump ( Anvil Brewing Pump (socohomebrew.com) ) and was wondering if it would work for doing several things - Wort chiller: have a 7 gallon Rubbermaid cooler with valve that I was thinking...

Biab new kettle on glass top Biab

I have a 3100 watt glass top stove burner and wanted to get into biab.from what I have seen with induction cook tops, electric 220 volt setups - I have plenty of wattage but I worry about that much weight on the glass top doing a 5 gallons batch. Anyone have any experience? I have a GE...

Russian Imperial Stout - Sudden Mold?

Thanks. Was going to cry a bit if I had to throw out this batch. Made with my dad on my birthday so would be bummed to have lost it. I'll let you know how it taste, hoping to bottle tonight.

Russian Imperial Stout - Sudden Mold?

Added some more photos to try and help. Has a lot of condensation on the inside which makes taking a pic a bit hard plus it's in a dark room.

Russian Imperial Stout - Sudden Mold?

I have an Imperial Stout that I brewed back Jan 27th. It's been sitting in secondary for about 3 months now and everything was just fine - just haven't been able to get to bottling till this month. All of a sudden about 3 days ago I noticed there was some floaters in it. They appear to have...

    Spiced winter ale

I just got a spiced winter ale kit from NB (it was a great price and I love spiced ales and its still freezing raining here, so still great time for it). My question is this is a bit lower ABV and I was curious for any ideas to kick it up just a bit. I love Breckenridge winter ale which is...

Chocolate Milk Stout - fermentation question

Hey Justin, I took my reading today - at 10 days its 1.03 so still needs a way to go. But flavor was great. A bit.of smoky taste but very mild, mostly coffee and notes of caramel. I would bottle it flavor wise as is to be honest but we'll see how it turns out with the chocolate.

Chocolate Milk Stout - fermentation question

Adding chocolate nibs tomorrow and will let you know. I did the bake a 250 for 12 mins and made a big difference in the chocolate. Soaking in vodka now to be safe. Btw, what was your gravity reading? Thanks.

Chocolate Milk Stout - fermentation question

Supposed to help clarity as you leave all the junk at the bottom of the primary. And then yep get next batch going. I'm doing all in primary just as I'm getting started. Good luck

That was the other part to my question- how long to let nibs sit. I'll throw in and leave for 2 weeks. Thanks.
