This is what I saved in my Amazon wish list back when I looked up the part (MG996R): https://www.amazon.com/MG996R-Torque-Digital-Helicopter-IFANCY-TECH/dp/B01GN07I5U I'm not sure if you'll want four or not but I recall the prices for 1-2 being almost as high

I haven't had a valve fail but if it did (and isn't simply unplugged)...it's likely one of two things: The servo motor died (which is cheap and easy to source on amazon) The plastic housing/arm broke and the servo can longer pinch the tubing closed (this could be 3d printed but I can't assist...

    iSpindle - DIY Electronic Hydrometer

I'm having some issues with an iSpindel I bought from the forums here last week. It's a CherryPhillips v4.0 board running v6.3.1 It was supposedly calibrated before it was shipped but when it arrived I was getting -2.XX plato in water. I calibrated it via the maintenance option and it...

I've done two fan mods and I think you've covered the majority of it. I've heard of several people just splicing the fan with one of the existing fans (or directly to the PSU) but I connected mine to the MCU board into a spare JST plug just like all the other components. I'm almost positive...

Electric brewery components $25 plus your label

I'm going to be building a coffee roaster and need to source the same spec of SSRs for the fan and heater but I'm building a 120V system so the nema cable isn't needed and would kill shipping costs for me. If you're willing to split this up (everything but the Nema cable) and ship to Nebraska...

I've been documenting all the repair parts that I saw posted here and on the FB groups and thought I'd share what I've found so far: Replacement Wires -- I'm using a 12AWG version of this from Amazon since I wanted them sooner and it works great. SRML WHITE 10 AWG 10' FT FIBER GLASS BRAID...

Higher FG than expected...several things tried but I feel like I'm missing something more obvious here.

I'm really enjoying the back and forth here; I'm seeing a lot of great information to go research...we can't learn something new until we realize what we don't know! As far as my mash schedule is concerned...it sounds like my 104/122F rests are overkill and my alpha rest should be raised to...

Got to poke around with this over my lunch today and got it working with a firmware update to the control board: Booted up the B20 on v3.0 and went into WIFI settings to get the IP. ...a lot of this information is on page 57 -- those instructions are for v3.1.2 but the same steps work for v3.0...

That's honestly how I feel about it too...I couldn't care less about ABV in almost every situation (it's still nice to know...I just care far more about flavor than alcohol) but I calculate the SG/FG values so I can try to confirm that my brewing processes/controls are working as intended.

That's very interesting...I didn't realize the alcohol throws it off. http://seanterrill.com/2012/01/06/refractometer-calculator/ Assuming that's a reliable calculator (I'll obviously want to find my calibration values...the default there is 1.040), I've hit all of my numbers all along and...

You may have nailed it with the refractometer...I got one at the same time I bought the Brewie and have been using the refractometer the entire time. As for the mash temps...I've been verifying the mast temps with thermometers throughout the brewdays and they're always spot on. I'll definitely...

Higher FG than expected...several things tried but I feel like I'm missing something more obvious here.

I've been using a propane kettle and cooler setup for the past 6 years but recently bought and fixed a Brewie B20 for it's automated brewing features. I wanted to get the Brewie for it's multi-step mashing capabilities and all three brewdays have gone relatively smoothly as I'm hitting my...

After replacing the wiring on my 2nd ebay b20 (first ebay B20 is doing great) and putting it back together, it turned out that I also had a bad thermostat switch. I replaced that today and put it back together and now everything on the control board fails to work once the B20 is fully booted...

I think it's a mix of cutting costs to manufacture and poor engineering/testing that was necessary to make the cost cutting work out...stuff like wires/connectors melting is incredibly poor engineering and what I believe, caused the company to fail. To their credit, they came up with some...

That's actually what I'm working on in my free time now that I've got v3.1.2 and flashed the mcu with plenty of testing done to confirm it worked after calibrating the water. I logged into my B20 through ssh and when I poked around inside I found that each brewie recipes consist of two files...

@macgyuver That's some great information there! Great to know that the ARM board can be upgraded to run faster! Are you using the auto-inlet or manual water additions?

Thanks Ajes, I've already gotten in via ssh so that doesn't sound too bad of a process then!
