    Hmm... More Floaters Than Sinkers

I tried taking a picture, but it didn't turn out. Best way I can describe them is that they look like cracked grain. I've got the carboy in my kegerator cold crashing now. I might rig up some sort of filter or strainer for my racking cane.

    Hmm... More Floaters Than Sinkers

Right now I have an English ale that I brewed from a Brewer's Best extract kit. I did everything I was supposed to and tossed a whirfloc tablet in at the end of the boil. By the way, it was a 2 1/2 gallon boil. The primary, secondary, and assorted tools of the trade were all sanitized...

    Natural carbonation in a keg

    Natural carbonation in a keg

I just wrapped up kegging my continental pilsner yesterday. I cold crashed it and clarified with gelatin and let everything chill in the carboy for about a week since work has been busy and I couldn't do much until the weekend. I tossed in the priming sugar and racked from the secondary to...

New Beer for the New Year

I honestly can't remember if I've posted here or not. I joined back in 2009 ish, but school was to busy to start brewing. Anyway, I'm here now. I took the money I got for Christmas and decided to start brewing. Hopefully my batch of Altbier will be ready in the next month or so. Back to...
