A lot of sediment/trub in bottles

Thanks for all the info and tips. I’ll continue to wait and hopefully it’ll be ready in a few more weeks. I used the strainer on another batch and it didn’t seem to effect anything. The carbonation seems really good, hopefully it’ll turn out alright.

A lot of sediment/trub in bottles

What’s up brewers? I made my third extract batch a few weeks ago which was a zombie dust clone. I let it ferment for 3 weeks and dry hopped it during the second week. It has been conditioning in bottles for two weeks. However, there is a lot of sediment in the bottles. It smells really good and...

    Kölsch Dry Hop

I am planning to brew my fourth batch this weekend. I will be making a Kölsch but I plan on dry hopping it. Any suggestions on what hop I should use? Has anyone had success dry hopping a Kölsch before?

    Kit or go for it?

Thanks for the input/advice I think I am just going to do some research on recipes for low bitterness hoppy IPAs. If anyone has something in particular I'd appreciate any advice. I really like the zombie dust that @Tpost704 posted

    Kit or go for it?

Thanks for the info Tpost704 & Redpappy. I have been taking notes during my brews. I like the recipe for the Zombie dust. I don't have a secondary fermenter. Is that an issue for dry hopping?

    Kit or go for it?

I am new to brewing and I am interested in brewing a hoppy IPA. I have two brews under my belt that turned out well. I really want to experiment with dry hopping. I am not sure if I should just buy a normal kit and make modifications like using citra hops/buy more hops for dry hopping? Or...

Second batch rookie question. How hot is too hot?

I am going to go all grain eventually so I appreciate the feedback. My main concerns was why the grains would be hotter than the wort? Unfortunately I'm using an electric stove so it is difficult to get consistent temperatures. My local brew shop said it's easiest to start an all grain brew by...

Second batch rookie question. How hot is too hot?

Thanks for the reassurance! I finished the batch and it tasted fine, I added in some sweet orange peel to the end of the boil. Hopefully it'll turn out okay.

Second batch rookie question. How hot is too hot?

Hey Brewers, Quick question I am in the middle of my second batch. I am using an Witbier extract kit from Brewers Best. I was steeping my grains in a smaller pot at the correct temperatures 148-153 degrees for thirty five minutes. I then placed my thermometer inside of the grain bag and went to...
