    Vodka in airlock

    Probably a dumb question, but why can't you see bubbles if you put vodka in the airlock?

    longevity of opened hops pellets

    Question for you experienced brewers. I have some open, partly used packets of dried hop pellets. They're several months old. I stored them in ziploc bags in the refridgerator. Are they still usable?

    Nutrient?

    Hi everyone, I'm brewing my first batch of mead. I added yeast nutrient and raisins to nourish the yeast. I put in one tsp of nutrient in a one gallon batch. So far it looks great--visually appears to be fermenting nicely. My question is, should I add more nutrient at any point?
