Tried to squeeze in brewing another batch of this on Thanksgiving morning. All went good, pitched a starter of WPL 008, it took off Friday morning. Had to leave town for a few days Friday evening, so I hit it with the 6 oz dry hop...figured it had a blowoff tube so I'd be OK....came back today...

Brew day went well/uneventful except for a boil over, but no harm done. Everything was spot on. Mashed 90 min, boiled 90 min (original recipe called for 120 min). Ended up right at OG 1.050...thank you BeerSmith. I had to adjust hop additions up as the AA% of what I ended up getting at...

I'll probably try a bigger 1.5L starter+harvest with 1318 for this next one...usually do a2L. Back on topic but referencing Brulosophy...thinking about trying bru-1 hops with Citra and Mosaic...anyone have any thoughts?

Brau, I use your original starter technique with developing an extra 100 billion cells and then saving them off for future use. Are you still doing this the 1L starter? If so, any details would be appreciated. Thanks!

Brewed the update original recipe but didn't transfer to secondary; both dry hop additions went into the primary. I used S04 and had excellent results F.G. 1.014. Great aroma and great taste! Thanks for sharing the recipe Braufessor!

That's was my first thought. Magnus' recipe had carafa special II. I was just considering upping that to get around the target. I suspect it might add a little color with the 90 min boil as well.
