    Seattle Pico Pro and Still

Looks like PicoBrew’s test lab. I really could use the still as I have a Pro/S model. I also could use access to a Z or Zymatic temporarily to complete my final tweeting of a user-defined-brew Pico C/Pro/S since they cancelled Pico U and I don’t care for not desire the Z keg change. While odd...

    PicoPaks - REUSABLE?

Would you share your fork of the project? I'm thinking a firmware flash would permit a more permanent solution. At this point, it seems Pico users mainly pay them for access to their recipe database and the privilege of taking an NFC token for the unit to obtain a session ID to brew it with.

    PicoPaks - REUSABLE?

The API is the same for all the models. This whole reuse/rebrew matter is simply due to the session parameter being issued after one is requested when you start to brew. It's likely a bug if its permitting them after the session is complete as that's what the code=(integer) is at the end. As far...

    Amazon Alexa Integration?

Yeah, I may decide to work with the people at PicoBrew on mine as I deep dive into their solution. I'm not sure how useful it would be, as it would really only perform GET requests and basically tell you what you could read yourself.

    PicoPaks - REUSABLE?

So this whole thing from @macgyuver is in regards to a call that is made by the Arduino unit onboard through an HTTP call. It is a parameter known as SesId which allows one to resume a failed session. The actually occur, perhaps if one has a primer issue in the pump or something. As for timing...

    PicoPaks - REUSABLE?

This may have been due to my own and other comments. I suggested they license access to use it. So, you for X amount of fiat currency in whatever geography, you get to brew X amount of your own recipes as many times as you wish - but only those. If you wish to change the brew, then you must...

Thoughts on standard fermentation using metal keg lid on the PicoBrew?

Hello all, I wanted anyone's general opinion if they have fermented before using the metal keg lid instead of the black keg seal with plastic airlock for CO2 release? I asked because, I started using my PicoBrew Pro again for a stout this winter and forgot that the standard fermentation...

Compact tap and CO2 regulator for PicoBrew Serving Keg?

) First of all, there are "lots" of claims by PicoBrew that I find are "exaggerated". They need those units to sell, otherwise their PicoPak's won't sell and their business model is dead. Forced CO2 carbonation works I suppose to an extent, although it's pricey. If you bought a Pro and not a...

    PicoPaks - REUSABLE?

Absolutely, it will exist in every model they sell but the Zymatic. The purpose of the Pico is not to brew your own but those of Microbreweries who participate in their delivery model. Get a business going and you can test yours on the Pico, otherwise you'll always have a tag that is only good...

    PicoPaks - REUSABLE?

The purpose of this is if there is an error with brewing and/or authentication or latency issues on the other end purging it from their database. While I am aware of how this can be removed, it will not be because the whole purpose was for microbreweries to be able to offer their own and "get...

Compact tap and CO2 regulator for PicoBrew Serving Keg?

No answers are needed on this, I remedied this myself and since I own both Pro and C models - could care less at this point. If anyone comes across this, PicoBrew makes a specific regulator that is not a ball lock type and has a fitting into the top bung of the serving keg. I'm not sure I would...

PicoBrew Pico S Versus Pico C

Correct, the S is now the Pro - one must buy the same upgrade kit they would for C. As an additional note, I'm not confident in what PicoBrew's strategy is here except to flood the market with similar solutions they hope will compliment their existing customer base but are targeted to new...

PicoBrew PicoPak Brewing - General Discussion

I was reading across this forum and found that several members continued to reference a Facebook group page for discussion on the PicoBrew system. The purpose of this thread and discussion is not of the PicoBrew itself (nor any marketing/PR), but of the PicoPaks available by microbreweries and...

FaceBook PicoBrew Pico and Z User Group?

Is there a thread without Facebook (like in here, for us to discuss actual home brewing from it)? I don't use Facebook nor plan to. I don't use specific social media as part of my career needs.

PicoBrew Pico S Versus Pico C

There is no CO2 regulator on the Pico C. It's a total step down from the Pico Pro which appears to be from what I've read, the S model previously. The Pico C looks like it might belong more in the garage not a kitchen and uses only a 5L serving keg that is naturally carbonated only and meant to...

Compact tap and CO2 regulator for PicoBrew Serving Keg?

To clarify this, I am referring to the process of forced carbonation after fermentation. I'm already going through "fast fermentation" and will likely move to the standard one for some brews - however, the manual does not really discuss this except in the Pro version, but in mine is basically...

Compact tap and CO2 regulator for PicoBrew Serving Keg?

Hi all, So I've been desiring to test out one of these PicoBrew models and recently took the plunge for $300. It's an interesting little wort maker and I do like the FreeStyle crafting options available. In any case, I wasn't getting the Pro model this low and I already had limited space...
