lol I’m mostly used to it but will break a sweat running the vacuum. 😂 My garage also faces west and gets full exposure of the afternoon sun. No HVAC nor insulation for the garage itself = crazy heat.

my garage in NC is a bit cooler, 3-4 gajillion degrees, and out temp in house is 77°F so a ferm chamber is definitely warranted. I was going to add, the mini fridge as a ferm chamber can be repurposed / dual-purposed as a kegerator.

Never thought about freezing them. That would lyse their cells and allow for better flavor extraction. Nicely done!

ABS is awesome. I drive past a closer HBS just to go to them. Forgot to add... sign up for their newsletter, they provide links for discount codes.

Also, you can skip the cane and just use the ball valve to stop flow when switching bottles. You can also just pinch the hose. If you want to use a cane, a larger wine cane fits well in the tubing that in turn fits the ball valve tip.

Had to check my log... I did 12 oz bottles mainly but did a few 22oz as well. Used 2x 1/2 tsp on those without issue (well carbed, no bottle bombs).

lol gotcha. 🤣 I used to use those carb drops but I found that corn or table sugar direct in bottles was more precise due to cracked/chipped carb drops. I targeted 2.25g/bottle which came out to 1/2 tsp/bottle. I added the sugar to the bottles first, filled, capped, then inverted a few times...

I’ve bottled straight from an Anvil SS bucket plenty of times without issues. What are your concerns? Also curious why it’s not a good idea.

Vans here too but any closed-toe full coverage shoe is adequate.
