    Spring 2024 Corny Keg Giveaway

Just brewed a Brown Ale. Just kegged a Left Hand Peanut Butter Milk Stout Clone. All my kegs are from Corny Keg. This one is gorgeous. Love it.

    Software to Create Labels

Yeah. Mine is an inkjet and the labels I use run if they get wet at all.

    Software to Create Labels

How do you print them so they are color fast. Anything I try to print runs if the ink gets wet. I’ve been paying to get mine printed so I have labels that will hold up to moisture.

    Software to Create Labels

What does everyone use for software to create bottle labels. I see some pretty amazing bottle labels, but I sure don’t have software to create anything near as nice.

    Exhaust Duct for Basement Brewery

Bobby, already re-thought it and will end up going Steam Slayer route. Since I’m in the planning stages I’ll set it up so I can run from a cold tap and drain to the sink. Much easier. 👍🏻

    Exhaust Duct for Basement Brewery

I'm trying to plan for converting to electric and moving my brewery into the basement. I have debated whether to go with an exhaust duct or steam condensing setup and decided I want to install an exhaust duct. What I don't understand is where to I penetrate to the outside world. Does this go...

    Lessons Learned

Yes, I agree I could have pitched at the cooler temp but decided to let it warm some. I would not have pitched at a temp more than 2 degrees above. I purposely ferment on the cooler side, especially when using a hefeweizen yeast. I let it go through the bulk of the fermentation cool and then...

    Camlock vs QD

    Good information. Thanks Bobby.

    Lessons Learned

Put this in the lessons learned category. I brewed yesterday. Didn’t finish till late and my wort was too warm to pitch the yeast yet. I want 66 F and it was still about 80 F. I have a chest freezer on an Inkbird I use for cold crashing and bottle storage. It’s set at 38 F. I made room to put...

    Camlock vs QD

Okay. Sorry, but I'm a bit confused. When purchasing things like pumps and RIMS Tubes, they generally have connection options. I'm a little confused on the difference between what a Camlock is and what Quick Disconnect is. Are they the same? I figured it out. I guess the QD's I was...

    RIMs Rocket Question

Thanks for the input. That’s right. I now recall a standard RIMs unit would control the RIMs outlet temp. Didn’t even think about the power draw. May have to just live without the temp control for now and just use the burner if it starts to drop.

    RIMs Rocket Question

I’m just adding mash recirculation to my BIAB system. I’ve purchased a RipTide pump and thinking I need to be able to maintain my temperature better during mashing, so thinking about adding a 120 VAC RIMS Rocket if I’m correct on how I can use it. For now I simply want to power it from an...

Duotight For Perlick Shanks?? And EVABarrier length

I have Perlick 650SS faucets. I purchased beer shanks and Duotight Adapters from MoreBeer that work fine. The Beer Shank was the key for me. The others that worked directly with DuoTight did not work with the Perlick Faucets. I ended up getting Beer Shank D1244A (it’s a 3 inch) and DuoTight...

    Don’t Think This is Carbonated

It's possible that I have the same issue here. My wife thinks it's great. I think it's under carbonated, but really good. Might just be my perception compared to what I am used to with bottled beer.

    Don’t Think This is Carbonated

So I have my first three kegs in my kegerator. I have had them sitting at 12 PSIG for at least a week and a half. I have sampled all three, and I would not really consider any of them carbonated. They certainly produce some foam when I pour them, and they taste good, but they don’t have that...

    First Time Force Carbonating

Yes, I have them. Installed them after I took the photos. Thx.

    First Time Force Carbonating

Yes, I would do that only I am headed out of town for a week and a half and have not yet proven out that I have no leaks. Once I get back I will leave it on to finish carbing it and verify no leaks, then I will be more comfortable leaving it on the force carb in the future.

    First Time Force Carbonating

So I have my first 3 kegs loaded up in my Keezer. This has been a long time coming but I’m there. Just have to add one more faucet to get it to a Mac of 4 kegs. I started force carbonating the kegs. I have previously verified no leaks up to the point where they enter the Keezer. I don’t think...

    Bottle carbonation and conditioning

3 weeks is not a problem, though the flavor may continue to change a bit. I generally let my darker beers condition for an additional 2 to 4 weeks after carbonation so some of the flavors mellow a bit.
