Do they even read messages anymore? I asked them to cancel my last order, and it still pending. Guess I'll have to call, or reverse the CC charge.

I put in an order on 2/5. Still pending, with no replies to my requests for order status. I'm trying to cancel the order, and am done trying to deal with them. So sad, they were a good company. :(

It's blowing up in Chrome. In IE, it works fine. That's odd.

Are you sure they are still open? The login page on their site is dead now. Just a "page not found" error.

I got an email reply back from Ed. They have had several employees leave recently and are very short staffed. They are working on bringing in more staff and trying to keep up with incoming orders. It was good to hear from him and I wish them luck. My order is due in today and I intend to...

They're not even responding to emails now. Are they even still in business? Their site has no problems accepting orders and taking payments. I thought an order in pending since 10/31 was bad... :(

    Diacetyl rest screw up?

For most lagers, I do a three day d-rest after fermentation day 12. Even if you don't detect any buttery smell, it's good to wake the yeast up for a final clean up. There is more than Diacetyl they need to eat.

How low can a peltier go?

Since cold sinks and heat rises, how would mounting it on the bottom be more efficient?

How low can a peltier go?

Vodka Freezer. I'm going to make a box out of 2" foam board, big enough for a liter bottle. I want the peltier rig to be built into the lid, with the cold (heat) sink just above the top of the bottle. That is going to make the lid awkward to remove, so I might end up mounting the peltier...

How low can a peltier go?

I have seen claims that will lower the ambient temp from 40*F to 125*F. Assuming a 75*F room, is it possible to use one or more peltiers to lower the temp to 0*F? This is going to require a MONSTER 12V power supply... :rockin:

    Longer Braid = Lower Efficiency?

That's kind of what I was thinking. It drained like a hose.

    Longer Braid = Lower Efficiency?

I think I'll cut the braid in half, and save half for when it needs to be replaced. :ban:

    Longer Braid = Lower Efficiency?

I finally finished my new MLT. It's an 11 gallon SS pot fitted into a 10 gallon Igloo cooler. I went with a 3 foot braid instead of a 2 foot, like my old MLT had. Just tried it on a batch of wheat. Had excellent drainage, but my efficiency was pretty low. My water calculations were bang...

How much beer do you keep on hand?

Usually around 50 gallons, not counting what's in the fermenters. If I get down to 35 gallons, I feel like I'm "running out of beer". I have fifteen 5 gallon kegs, and four 3 gallon kegs. :ban:

Most annoying response when you tell someone you're a homebrewer?

Yeah, I get crap from some of my wife's family about my brewing. Not directly, they know better. But little snide remarks to my wife when I'm not around.

    Keg Tags?

I wound up using cheap cardboard tags with twine. Like price tags, they come in 100 packs for a buck or two. I write the info on the tag, then use clear packing tape to seal the tag up. It's fairly beer and water proof. The twine loop attaches the tag to the keg handle. Cheap and...

    Show us your Kegerator

That looks like mine when I bought it. I replaced the tower with a three tap. I can fit two 5 gallon kegs and a three gallon keg on the compressor hump. I had to make a little two legged stand to balance the keg on the hump. The CO2 fits in a little stand on the back.
