    New to Meads, need simple smaller recipe

    Damn Bottle Bombs!!

    I found letting the beer sit for more than 48 hours in the fridge helps. Try giving the bottle a slight jiggle 24hrs in so the CO2 dissolves in the beer. Your mileage may vary, but it works for me.

    choices in ATL

    Both are good. I like Taco Mac a lot. If you do go the the Mac, get either a burger or wings nothing else is worth the trip (assuming you might eat AND drink).

    Moved to secondary a little early...

    I made a Belgian Dubblel ~12 days ago and had an OG of 1.069. I foolishly moved the beer over when the krausen dropped instead of checking with a hydrometer. Monday the gravity was 1.024. Today the gravity is 1.022. My goal is 1.016. It is more sweet than I would like right now...
