Check out this Stainless Conical Fermenter

Yeah, it seals fine. I've done three brews with it so far, with no problems. I'm so glad I bought it... :mug: A great piece of equipment for the price. No more siphon or scrubbing carboy with carboy brush was worth it to me. This thing is super easy to clean!

    My ghetto fermentation chamber...

Holds temp pretty well... I have to change out 1 large frozen water bottle twice a day. Once in the morn., and again before bed. Better than the old swamper. I'll be gettin a used fridge soon... It's just temporary until then..

    My ghetto fermentation chamber...

Made of 1 inch thick wall insulation..battery powered a\c t-stat, and a computer fan to circulate cold air across frozen water bottles... I just load the bottles through a door on the outside of the box... I monitor the temps with a temp probe through the box and taped to the fermentor.. Built...

    Blichmann conical question

I already have a fridge ready for the fermenator...so temp control not a prob. Warrior.. how has previous 5 gal batches worked for you. And is the tri-clamp system that necessary? I mean, worth the extra $200.. I'm pretty hard core about cleaning/sanitizing so I don't mind the...

    Blichmann conical question

I've finally saved up some dough, and I'm considering getting a Ferminator. Is there a problem with fermenting 5-6 gal batches with a 14 gal? To me it seems, for the $40 or so difference from the 7 gal to the 14 gal. just go ahead and get the 14gal in case I would like to brew a 10gal...

    moving to florida

Heart's is not the friendliest help in town. And god forbid you show up and ask for a recipe to be put together at the last minute. He'll sneer at you and tell you its easier to order online and pick it up later. I liken them to the "Soup Nazi". Get what you need, don't talk, and get out...

    Man, I love Apfelwein

I'm finally ready to keg the Apfelwein I've had sitting in the carboy for the last 3 months :ban: I can't wait to taste what all the hype is about! I'm sure it's great! You think after a week of carbing, will it be ready to be enjoyed? Or should I just try and hold off a few more...
