Not sure how this all works, but has people done any breeding/trading of hop seed/rhizome projects? To get some of the rarer (not copyrighted/patented) breeds that don't always grow in their areas and tried to get them to grow? Has anyone had any success doing that?

So I have a recipe I'm looking to brew, but I want to bump up the ABV (and coincidentally the IBU on it as well), but I want to keep it at a 5Gallon batch. Any suggestions on what to do to the recipe to modify it to increase the ABV/IBU? (I figure IBU is easy, just add more bittering hops...

I'm really having trouble trying to pin down a recipe for an all-grain (5 gallon) hoppy high-ABV stout. Any suggestions? What kind of hops do people like in a stout (not just in general or in IPAs, but particularly in stouts)? What grain bill to make it high-ABV? Thanks everyone!
