    Anyone have experience with Festa, if I should let it ride, or start bottling? It's been fermenting for about 8 days now.

    So, Festa says to let it ferment 3-5 days, my LHBS says 2-3 weeks because he thinks Festa just wants you to hurry up and buy another one, and it gets better with age. What do you think for fermentation time?

    Thanks, for the vote of confidence. My LHBS said don't bother with a lid if I had plastic cling wrap, and a big rubber band (which I did).

    Hi All, Below are some pics of my fermenting Festa Pale Ale. Do they look right? These were taken 96 hours after being placed in the basement. I had bubbles up to the plastic wrap, but they have since gone down. The ugly mess you see in the middle is where my two pieces of plastic wrap...

    Hello from CT

    Hello, Ben, aka Fishrising, here from CT! I hope to learn about home brewing and get into some form of starter kit and see where it goes! My favorite commercial brew is Long Trail Ale, followed closely by Belhaven's Scottish Ale, and I hope to mimic those.
