    Is gelatin for clarity only?

    My beers normally take about 6 weeks in the keg before they're really good. I've never used gelatin and wonder if it would speed up the process. Is it only used to clear the beer visually or does it also help clean up the flavor quicker? Do you use it in stout?

    No Sanitizer Brew Day

    Wyeast 1214 viability

    I have a pack of Wyeast 1214 Belgian Abbey dated March 2014. All the yeast calculators say it is 0% viable. Is it worth messing with or should I just buy another pack? Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew
