Hello, I was going to try out one of the Coopers extracts, but the brew enhancer they tell you to get with it is fairly expensive. I was thinking using either honey or corn syrup to bring the gravity up with the extract might be alright, but I am unsure. Has anyone else given this a try?
So I found some beechwood honey(only 325g) and was wondering what would be better to mix with it for a one gallon batch of mead, blueberry or raspberry blossom honey?
Has anybody ever tried to burn their honey a bit (like when making a brochet) and brew a beer-ish thing with it using hops and beer yeast? If so how did it go? If not how do you think it will go?
So I have been thinking about making the following mead:
4kg Cheap GV Honey
2kg Raw Wildflower Honey
Champagne Yeast
Yeast Nutrient
Topped up with water
Do you think this will make a good mead? Or will it be too flavorless?
