    Nitro cold brew shelf life

I make my cold brew in 4 gallon batches. I pour a 20 or so OZ cup a day. So thats roughly 25 work days. Weekends I brew hot coffee. Sometimes I pour a second cup when I get home from work, it normally lasts about a month, Tastes the same on day 1 as the day the keg kicks.

Moved to new house. Beer doesnt taste as good.

Thank you all for the insight. We get water delivered to my work so I'm gonna grab an extra jug next time and brew with it. I'm also gonna get out the big burner. I was just using my stove out of laziness. I know I should have a better boil next time. Another thought. When I used the stove I...

Well. Here's some new information. Both water companies use the same water treatment facility. So it's the same water I guess

Moved to new house. Beer doesnt taste as good.

almost all of my ingredients come exclusively from my local shop or the same online shop i always use. maybe ill try a 1 or two gallon batch with bottled water to see if it makes a difference without wasting 5 gallons.

Moved to new house. Beer doesnt taste as good.

A few years ago I moved into a new house. A few towns over. Before I moved I was brewing some pretty decent beer. I don't know too much about it. I do extract brewing with minimal knowledge. Since I moved, my beer just tastes off. My one buddy says it tastes like feet. This poor taste has...

    Paintball CO2 tanks

Our company has been selling co2 for over 40 years. The food and industrial grades of co2 are a thing of the past. We sell to bars, welding shops, paintball shops. Its all the same co2. Medical grade co2 is different, but that's more in the cleaning of the cylinder than the actual co2.

my co2 tank just popped! i dont know why

It shouldn't make a difference where you store it. Yes there would have been a pressure difference in the fridge, but if it blew at room temp it was way over filled and may have gone n the fridge too

my co2 tank just popped! i dont know why

They should replace it for free. Since you just got it filled for the first time it shouldnt be old. That model of valve is only a few years old. If they do charge you it should only be a few dollars. I know if I filled a tank and the safety went I would replace the safety and refill the...

my co2 tank just popped! i dont know why

its the safety valve. once they go, you lose the entire thing. they are easily replaced. it blew because the place over filled it.

    Can I freeze liquid extract?

Well, a while ago, maybe 18 months or so I broke down my 33 lb jug into freezer bags, pushed the sir out and put them in my freezer in the basement then forgot about them. I'm not as concerned with taste as if they will kill me. Thoughts? They aren't hard frozen. They are hard, but I can...

    Investigating propane vs. natural gas...

as someone who sells propane, the price of natural gas is great. its cheaper to heat my house on natural gas than it is for me to buy propane at wholesale cost. i have customers who come in mad at the gas company for one reason or another. they say they are switching to propane to stick it to...
