    I assume you have the Ss brewbuckets. The black oil is coated on all their metal, doesn't show without the "white glove test" and the TSP wash doesn't really seem to get rid of it.     How do you filter your beer

    I drain my wort through a ss mesh strainer into fermenter. It helps, but if you're just bottling you will always have sediment. You need the yeast to carb up your bottles. Switch to kegs and bottle from there to rid yourself of unwanted sediment.

    Will cold crash affect aroma and flavor?

    From my understanding, cold crashing in a sealed vessel like a keg should preserve most aroma and taste. Cold crashing with a bucket or carboy where negative pressure can occure will suck oxygen back into chamber. Oxygen is the enemy, and will have impact on hop aroma and taste.
