    Removing yeast labels

    Someone else suggested acetone to me. I don't know how that will react with the plastic though. I completely forgot about goo gone (doh!)

    Oe of the things I've seen here is using yeast vials filled with grain for tap handles. I can't for the life of me figure out how to remove the adhesive that was used to stick the label onto the vial. I've tried heat, oops solvent, and rubbing alcohol. Does anyone have any tips? I'd like to not...

    Sorry it took me so long to get the recipe up. Real life happens. Here's what I brewed. I call it, the Pale Jimi Ale! Boil 3.5 gal water place in fermenter Boil 1.5 gal water and add: 1 t Gypsum 3.5 lbs Amber LME 2 lbs Amber DME 1 oz Centennial Hops (bitter) .5 oz Pearle Hops (bitter)...

    Just wanted to share. This weekend I put my first beer into the fermenter. It started bubbling about 24 hours afterward. I'll post the recipe when I get home from work, but I was too excited to wait to post until I got home.

    @jezter6 There is a brew shop down here owned by one of the local winerys. I'll be hitting it up tomorrow to start my first batch this weekend. This guy is excited!

    Hey all, I just signed up today, got the home brew bug after talking about it all day on the hookah forum. I don't have any equipment yet, nor do I know what I'm doing, so I'll be relying on you all heavily as I get started. Any suggestions on kits and/or first brews would be appreciated!
