Small ball valve shouldn't cost too much. Was thinking of getting the 2.5 gallon tanks. I'd make a stand that holds both back to back in my fermentation fridge . That would allow me to still do small batches or split a larger one between the two tanks.

Definitely doesnt look like pellicle from the pics i've been seeing. Other ideas? What could cause proteins or precipitate? Yes, I think that is what mislead me into thinking I was fine with just soaking in the easy clean. Thanks for all the tips on cleaning and sanitizing!
