    Am I facing bottle bombs?

Luckily in this case it only means that the bottles can live there whenever its not heated :D As for the carbonation issue, for some reason, the bottles turned out to be undercarbonated o_O

    Brewer's Edge Mash & Boil

That looks interesting! What is the thing that's right after the vertical tube? And yeah, a BIAB bag seems like a good choice since the BEMB element shouldn't be on. I was thinking that if the main purpose of the tube was to keep the temperature constant (as opposed to your case), the element...

    Brewer's Edge Mash & Boil

I'm just playing with ideas here, but has anyone thought about adding a small RIMS-tube into an electric kettle like this, just to maintain and control the mash temps? Along with the center drain pipe mod, I'm thinking this could solve the 2 major issues I'm aware of with the Mash & Boil, ie...

    Am I facing bottle bombs?

Thanks for the replies! I think we're gonna do some tasting when we open the bottles and decide. They're stored in a sauna (living in finland :D) which is moisture sealed and not frequently used, so explosions shouldn't cause too much trouble. Definitely chilling them before opening, though.

    Am I facing bottle bombs?

I brewed an amber ale recently with 2 friends, our first time using an all-in-one brewing system similar to brewers edge mash & boil. I've done a few stovetop AG batches before, without major problems. However, this time our control over the mash temps was way off. The control panel showed temps...

    Brewer's Edge Mash & Boil

I'm thinking about the same issue. Is it best to sparge while the grain basket is lifted up or should i drain the first wort to a separate bucket, close the spigot and let the sparge water sit inside for some time?

    Mangrove Jack Empire Ale M15

I've used the M15 once for a "brownish ale" with quite nice results, went from 1.052 to 1.012 so 76% AA. It did take bit more than a month and having read about the yeast I was a bit scared waiting for it... :D I mashed at 66.5 C (~152F). Thinking back my recipe wasn't the best but it did...

Looking for ESB grain and hop bill advice

Thanks for the plentiful comments! I think I'll go by reducing crystal to 6% and amber to 4%, to keep bit more color and maltiness. I figured the amber flavour will mellow out even if its too strong initially, as I tend be good with patience... Might also try some terrification techniques on...

Looking for ESB grain and hop bill advice

Hello everyone! I've brewed a couple of AG batches with mixed success using self-devised recipes (nothing my friends wouldn't drink! :D). I always learn a lot and its fun, so I think its worth it. Now I'm planning an ESB or a strong bitter and have couple of questions (also, as usual...
