How much purée for 5 gallon batch?

i am hopefully making a clone of the B Nektar “Black Fang” with blackberries , Orange zest and Cloves. My question is how much blackberry purée should I use for 5 gallons? I was thinking two 3lb cans of the Vintner’s Harvest purée. Is that too much or not enough or about right?

What hop is it that tastes like marigolds?

I have tasted some IPAs that have a distinct marigold flavor which I am not fond of. I like piney and citrusy but I find marigolds offensive smelling and tasting. I can't figure out which hop imparts this flavor and aroma. Could it be Simcoe? ideas?

I love big hoppy IPA's as much as the next guy but lately I have noticed a hop variety or combination of hops in some IPAs that I just do not care for. They smell and taste like marigolds... yuk. I do enjoy the piney, citrus, grapefruit and floral notes of most of the usual hops. What is...

OLD hops.. Can I and should I use them?

I have some really old whole leaf hops that a friend gave me... probably 4 years old. They are vacuum sealed and have been kept in a cool dark place. Would these still be ok to use? Is there any bad flavors that would come from using these? Would they be weak? Does the flavor profile change...
