    Apple berry jack idea

I would just save the berry juice until after the freeze distill process. Add it for flavouring at the end.

    Carbonate in the jug

Still Better off to bottle in small plastic pop bottles if carbonated.

    Carbonate in the jug

I wouldnt pressure up a glass jug, no idea what it can hold and if it will explode. Put it into 2L pop bottles (plastic) and carb in them. They can handle 200-250psi pressure before bursting.

    Cinnamon stick in the bottle...?

Its fine to leave a stick in the juice or cider. I put on in every jar of applejack i make.

    Can This Be Saved?

Let it melt and you will see the color starting to drain out of the ice. Chuck the ice when most of the color is gone. The first melt takes awhile, keep freezing/melting cycles until it wont freeze anymore.

    Can This Be Saved?

Are you trying to make apple jack? If so, what temp are you freezing at and for how long? I put mine in 2L pop bottles, freeze at -23C for 5 days minimum and then let it drain upside down. It will work with low alc content but higher is easier and faster.

Pressed peaches & Campden tablet whoops?

It should be fine, just a different strain of yeast than you would have used.

how long before trees produce apples?

I have a few baking apple trees in our yard but wanted something for eating for the kids. Went to our local nursery, found a 4 in 1 grafted apple tree with fruit already on it. 4 different apples on 1 tree and we got to eat about 15 apples to boot. Tree is about 6ft tall in the pot. Small...

    Freeze concentrating

No, just need long enough to allow a goid freeze throughout. I usually freeze for 2+days myself.

-27C, dang cold here. Going to start a cherry and wildberry cider soon and take another stab at a beer kit.

    Making Applejack from hard cider?

Some use it in drinks or reblend it with weaker stuff as it still has alcohol in it.

    Making Applejack from hard cider?

I leave mine to freeze for about 4 days before thawing on each cycle. I also toss the white ice leftover, just dont have the time to try and deal with it. I am already getting plenty of booze for next to nothing, i can afford to throw out the ice lol.

    Making Applejack from hard cider?

You should get a hydrometer, then you know the alc. Content and dont have to guess. The only way to get a higher alc content is by freezing it at colder temp. I freeze mine to -23C and when comparing its freesing characteristics to commercial bought booze it ends up being ~35%. If you want...

Yes mark i use one like that.

    Added too much sugar

Add more sugar (follow Pappys pub cider recipe), throw in some wine yeast and let it rock. When it is done, make some applejack :)

    Fermentation speed?

    Nope

Would this grape crusher work well with apples?

I would say the refractometer is more accurate.
