    Post your infection

Thanks JWin. I am planning on picking up a 5 gallon carboy for secondary.

Thanks Brew G. This is what it looked like when I racked it to the secondary. I should have posted this too.

In the secondary a little over a week now. Is this just a little leftover yeast working, or infected? Really like to make something drinkable.

    Cloudy beer

Thanks! I guess I'll find out in a few weeks. I bought the Brewers Best immersion chiller yesterday and tried it out on a batch yesterday. It seemed to cool off much quicker. Probably about 30 minutes to 72 degrees. Is there a certain time to shoot for, or can it vary? Also, I converted...

    Cloudy beer

Wondering if anyone can help me out please? I have brewed 4 batches now, and I tried cold crashing for the first time on my last batch. I tapped the first of it yesterday, and it looked pretty cloudy. Is there a maximum temperature to cold crash? I left it in the refrigerator for about 6...

    Cigar City Jai Alai Clone

I have friends that live in Tampa that brought me some up to Central PA to try. It's delicious, and I've found it locally in 6 packs and even on tap once! Sbartelski is correct, it's great on tap! Found out of can get it in a keg in Harrisburg too!

First time brewer. Looking for some advice

Brewers Best is the brand of the extract kit. They are sold most everywhere. Most homebrew stores or you can order them online from Northern Brewers or Midwest Supplies I believe.

First time brewer. Looking for some advice

I'd highly recommend a brewers best extract kit. The directions are very noob friendly. I'm using them right now too. Lol

My First Batch Is Now In The Fermenter!

Congrats! I caught the bug too! My 2nd batch is fermenting now, I've already upgraded to a Blichmann burner, I'm brewing my 3rd batch Friday, and my 3 tap kegerator should be delivered Monday. I should have shopped around like you and bought a larger brew kettle with a thermometer though...

New post a picture of your pint

That looks and sounds delicious! I just transferred a Pacific Coast IPA into the secondary this evening. Although this and my first batch which was a Pale Ale both looked on the darker side. I'm VERY new to this, and could have screwed something up though. The pale ale didn't taste bad though.
